A new cyprinid fish, Parapsilorhynchus odishaensis, is described from Odisha, India. It is distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following characters: poorly developed callous pad behind lower lip, which is not sharply delimited posteriorly; many prominent horny tubercles on the snout; deep head (depth at occiput 57.2-75.0% HL); stout and deep body (depth at dorsal fin origin 19.6-25.0 % SL); narrow mouth (23.5-28.6% HL); eye visible in ventral view of head; rounded lower lip; 3-4 simple pectoral fin rays; 33-35 lateral line scales. Keywords

The fishes of the genus Aborichthys Chaudhuri are small loaches generally foiind in torrential hill streams in the Darjeeling Himalayas, north eastern India and upper Myanmar. They are characterized in having elongated and compressed body; anus situated far forwards; pelvic fins extend considerably beyond the anal opening; dorsal fin inserted slightly behind pelvic fins; oblique narrow stripes on body; rounded caudal fin, which is usually marked with concentric black rings and a black spot at the upper corner of caudal base (Chaudhuri, 1913; Hora, 1925).- Garra chindwinensis, a New Species of Cyprinid Fish (Teleostei:Cypriniformes) from Manipur, Northeastern India

A novel sisorid catfish, Pseudecheneis nagalandensis sp. nov., collected from the Tizu River, Chindwin Basin, Nagaland, northeast India is described. This new species differs from its congeners due to the presence of a long ray of pelvic fin that extends up to anal-fin origin, slender caudal peduncle and the thoracic adhesive apparatus with 13−14 transverse ridges which are separated by grooves. This is the only species of the genus Pseudecheneis currently known from Nagaland. Keywords
